Anyways, I am the Introspective Teacher...and I have a TERRIBLE SCALP. Like most around this time of year, I am sure you can relate! I absolutely hate it. I wash my hair and a few hours later, I am itching like crazy and flaking all over everything AND I my hair looks greasy! I wear a lot of black due to my job, and am always dusting my shoulder off...Not to be cool..but to rid myself of the flakes. YUCK. It's embarrassing and it really hurts my confidence when teaching. I don't like to be in the front of the room wondering if my students notice how oily and grimy my hair looks, or the flakes that are invading everything.
But you heard it here first..I...Have...Found...a.....Solution! BUT...you aren't going to hear what it is..JUST YET. :)
See..I don't have dandruff...I have dry scalp..TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS! While the Apple Cider Vinegar was cleaning my hair really well, the Baking Soda was actually drying my scalp out worse, and making the flaking worse. After a while, the Apple Cider Vinegar started to build up and although my hair appeared clean, it was very grimy to the touch...it...felt...gross.
It was then that I got a response from my longtime hairdresser, LaChelle, who owns Hot Heads Salon in Marion, Illinois. She asked me all sorts of questions, obviously trying to figure out the root of my problems. (Root...haha) Anyways...She approached the situation very scientifically. It wasn't long after, I booked an appointment for a long overdue hair cut so we could address the issues.
LET ME TELL YOU...I have never met someone who just GETS hair like she does. She understands the science behind everything, and can explain it in a manner that anyone can easily grasp. Basically, while going natural can be good for some, it doesn't treat every issue. My issue of having an extremely dry scalp with oily hair is not going to be cured by the ACV/Baking Soda mixture.
At my appointment, LaChelle washed my hair with two amazing products, that just felt GOOD! They are both by Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Line. The shampoo is the Lavender Mint Moisturizing Shampoo and the conditioner is the Tea Tree Special Conditioner. The Shampoo has such a unique and relaxing scent. It fills the entire room and stays on the hair for quite some time. It lathers easily and I only have to use about a 1/2 dollar size dollop to lather my entire head of hair. The Tea Tree Special Conditioner is the ICING ON THE CAKE. It has an amazing cooling aspect to it, and it TINGLES the scalp. It literally feels like I am having a scalp massage each time I use it. Again, I only use a little over a 1/2 dollar size dollop for the entire process. (The products only run around $13-$15 for a 10.14 fl. oz size...and a little sure goes a long way!)
As per LaChelle's instructions, I scrub and scratch both products into my scalp really well and work my way out to the ends. Healthy Ends come from a healthy scalp.
LaChelle believes so much in these products, that she sent me home with some to try on my own and to evaluate. My words and opinions are always my own. Soooo..
I LOVE THESE PRODUCTS! I cannot see myself using anything different! I didn't expect to see results so quickly, but they were almost immediate! It is nothing short of amazing! I...AM...SOLD!
My hair is so soft and shiny, healthy looking. My scalp hasn't flaked since I started using the product! Best of all..NO ITCHING. I feel really refreshed after using the smell good, scalp, tingling products and can already feel my confidence boosting.
After wasting years, money, and so much effort trying to find the right concoction for my hair, LaChelle had the answer all along.
Now I feel like I can get up in front of my high school students and focus on my lesson at hand, rather than what the students might be observing about my unkempt, oily, and flaky hair! Yay for Confidence! Thank you LaChelle for helping restore that for me!!
Soo...if you want to find one of Southern Illinois' best kept secrets, give LaChelle and her crew at call at (618) 997-4702 Today! Please tell them you heard about them from The Introspective Teacher!
